Connecting your calendars

Last updated: June 29, 2026

Connect Highlight to your calendars and it will remind you about meetings, help you prepare for them, summarize them, and more. You can connect as many calendars as you like.

Supported providers: Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar (Work/School), and Outlook Calendar (Personal).

Connect a calendar

  1. Open Highlight and go to Settings.

  2. In the left sidebar, under Connections, select Calendars.

  3. Under Add Calendars, click the + next to Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar (Work/School), or Outlook Calendar (Personal).

  4. Sign in to your calendar account in the window that opens.

  5. Review the access Highlight requests and click Approve to grant calendar access.

  6. You’ll be returned to Highlight. The account now appears under Connected Calendars.

Choose what to sync

A single account often contains several calendars (for example, your personal calendar, a team calendar, and holidays).

  • Use the checkboxes under each connected account to turn individual calendars on or off.

  • Click Set Default on an account, then mark a calendar as Default, to choose where Highlight creates new events.

  • Use the up/down arrows to reorder accounts.

Tip:  Highlight shows when calendars were last checked next to Connected Calendars. Use the refresh icon to sync immediately.

Heads up:  If your account is managed by an employer (a work or enterprise plan), an administrator may need to approve Highlight before you can connect. If you see an “approval required” message, see Integrations and Admin Approval for what to send your admin.

Disconnect a calendar

Open the (more options) menu next to a connected account and choose to remove it. Highlight stops syncing that account right away.
