Connecting OneDrive
Last updated: August 31, 2026
Connect OneDrive so Highlight can browse and search your files, bringing your documents, spreadsheets, and presentations into your workflow.
Set up the integration
Open Highlight and go to Settings.
In the left sidebar, under Connections, select Integrations.
Under Add Integrations, find OneDrive and click the + button on its card.
A Microsoft sign-in window opens. Sign in to the account you want to connect.
Review the access Highlight requests, then click Approve (or Accept).
You'll be returned to Highlight automatically. OneDrive now appears under Active Integrations.
During sign-in, Microsoft may ask which account to use. Choose the account with the files you want Highlight to access, then confirm.
What you can do once connected
Search across the files you've shared.
Reference Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files as context for your work.
Heads up: If your account is managed by an employer (a work or enterprise plan), an administrator may need to approve Highlight before you can connect. If you see an “approval required” message, see Integrations and Admin Approval for what to send your admin. |
Manage or disconnect
Open the ⋮ menu on the OneDrive card under Active Integrations to adjust shared files, reconnect, or remove the integration.
