Connecting GitHub
Last updated: June 29, 2026
Connect GitHub so Highlight can browse your repositories and read code, issues, and pull requests — making it easy to reference your codebase and project activity.
Set up the integration
Open Highlight and go to Settings.
In the left sidebar, under Connections, select Integrations.
Under Add Integrations, find GitHub and click the + button on its card.
A GitHub sign-in window opens. Sign in to the account you want to connect.
Review the access Highlight requests, then click Approve (or Authorize).
You’ll be returned to Highlight automatically. GitHub now appears under Active Integrations.
What you can do once connected
Browse repositories you have access to.
Read code, issues, and pull requests for context.
Manage or disconnect
Open the ⋮ menu on the GitHub card under Active Integrations to reconnect or remove the integration.
