Learning Your Communication Style
Last updated: September 11, 2026
Highlight will learn your communication style, adjust the tone and length of message per channel, and per recipient, so that it sounds like you. Since Highlight only drafts actions for you, and never sends a message with your approval, the app will also learn from your edits.
Here’s an representative example from a marketing meeting and the follow up actions that might be queued up for you. Let’s say that during the meeting you discussed multiple integrations that need to happen for a new project, here’s what might happen:
Highlight drafts a Notion document with the updates that you discussed in your brand voice, creating action items with the due dates you discussed
A Slack messaged is queued up to send the engineering lead to discuss implementation details
An email message is drafted, addressed to your vendor, written in the formal tone you use externally
Once the meeting finishes, Highlight executes on its context because it knows where and how you communicate based on your history.
The key to this feature is to enable integrations with your core communication channels, such as Slack and email.
To get the follow up correct, Highlight also learns who you communicate with, learn more here: 📄 People: Who Highlight Knows and How
